7/8/13 The Chinese must be improving

I was on vacation last week and couldn't receive her emails nor post :(.  Better late than never.

How is everyone?  I mean, I've been telling everyone how I am... but I honestly don't know what is going on with all of you... (I do believe that may be an indirect request for letters….hint, hint)  I hope you all had a fun Fourth of July, and that you are all enjoying your summers. :)

Anyways, I still can't believe another week has flown by!  I only have three more weeks left here! Isn't that super crazy?????  That's not a long time... but sometimes it feels like forever...  I just want to get out to Taiwan, teach people and serve the Lord!  But don't worry, I'm not getting so excited that I forget about the importance of being in the MTC.  I'm still learning a ton, and my brain is full of lines that I've memorized.  It's funny, because sometimes I have words in my head, and I know they are Chinese but I can't think of the English translation.  Or, lately I've been searching through my Chinese English dictionary to see how to spell English words... Though that shouldn't be much of a surprise to those who know me... I spell terribly.... especially in emails. Sorry! Haha! Hopefully mom has been editing them....  Oh, speaking about this dictionary of mine.  It's supposed to be pocket sized... but it's bigger than my bible, and heavier... I don't know where I'm supposed to find a pocket big enough for my dictionary....  It's not named very well...

Anyways, going along with what I've been doing, I'll organize this by days.

Monday:

Sister Peng's district with the Taiwan flag
Monday was a great day, of course because it was a P day.  Any of you going on a mission, word of advice: SAVOR YOUR P DAYS!  Haha! It always seems soo short.  Anyways, we weren't able to go to the temple, because the temple was closed for cleaning.  We won't be able to go there for the rest of our MTC stay, which is a bit sad.  But it does give us some extra time to do things.  Though, not much of it is exciting things....  I just practiced Chinese for a long time....  Anyways, I loved Monday because I just got a ton of mail!  I got a package of candy from the Becksteads (It's huge!  Thank you so much Becksteads! I love you! And my roommates and companion love you!), I got all the dear elders from my family, which was so nice of them considering the fact that they are all having fun without me. Sigh....,  I got some fake tanks from my mom so now I can be a modest missionary (not that I was immodest before... but sometimes it feels like we are expected to dress like nuns.... not really.... and a lot of sisters don't obey the rules as well as they should.  I've seen a lot of knees (O.o) and tight shirts...) and I also got a letter from Elder Johnson who is in England.  He is doing well, and apparently they got a full week of sun! Wow! Haha!

Tuesday:

Well, Tuesday started pretty blah, just because class was hard to sit through.  But then I got a letter from Elder Jacobs. Yay! He's doing well to, and he wants me to teach him Chinese.  The first thing he asked was how do you say yes and no in Chinese.... And the answer... there is no yes and no.  There is only verb or negative verb.  It's like want or not want.  Will or not will.  Hungry or not hungry.  Yup... Not sure how I'll answer that question well.  Chinese is a great language. :)  It's very complicated and the tones just make it so delightful!  There is a little bit of sarcasm in that, but not too much.  I really do like Chinese.

We also had our Devotional.  Brother Richardson talked to us. I don't remember what he is... Anyways, he gave a great talk focusing on the phrase: What'er thou art, act well thy part.  I've always loved that phrase.  It's good for everyone, so implement it in your lives!!! Anyways, basically it means that whatever you are called or asked to do, whatever you do for a living, whoever you are, just do the best that you can.  Be the best that you can.  And do your part to make the world a better place.  We all have our part to play in the great scheme of things, but if we don't do our part, then we affect other people. I liked his talk.  :)

Wednesday-

Couldn't really think of anything to say about Wednesday.  Then I remembered breakfast.  I was standing in line to get a plate of fake eggs and hash browns, when I realize I'm standing in line next to three missionaries who are all fluent in Chinese... probably because they are from Taiwan, Beijing and Shanghai.  Anyways, they start talking to me, and I talk back.  We then get to the part of: where are you from?  When I said Utah, they all told me my Chinese was pretty good for living in America.  I thanked them, but secretly I think they were being nice.  I was very lost in the conversation.

Thursday-

4th of July - MTC style
Happy Fourth of July!  Holidays for missionaries aren't really holidays.  We still went to class, we still studied.  The only difference was after our last period of class we went to a devotional thing.  They called it a celebration though.  At the end, they played 17 Miracles.  For any of you who haven't watched it, go and watch it.  It will make you cry.  I've seen it once before with mom, and I liked it a lot.  But it was inspiring to see the faith that these pioneers must have had to cross the plains in the winter.  It was cool to see the miracles that where manifested unto them.  Miracles do happen now days.  We just have to look for them.  And sometimes, they aren't big.  They are small.  But they bless us.  Anyways, after the movie, we got to eat ice cream bars and go watch fireworks.  It was hard to see the fireworks with all the tall elders in the way.  Also, we had to stay in the MTC boundaries, and trees were blocking the view.  But it was fun.  I have to say, it's much nicer to watch fireworks with the family in places you can actually see them... The sounds aren't much exciting by themselves.  Oh, and Sister Anderson's mom sent us a bunch of festive stuff to wear and glow sticks.  That was nice of her.  We have some pictures, and I'll post them, but they are a little bit blurry... Sorry!  We then went to bed at 11:30, because they extended our curfew.  However, we still had to wake up in the morning at 6:30 which I was not looking forward to.  But I'm still alive!  I love sleep though.  Sleep is a beautiful thing....

Friday:

The highlight of Friday was the Rainstorm.  The rainstorm was a nice break from the heat, and it was fun to stand outside in the rain.  The thunder and lightning was also pretty awesome.  Our building was shaking, so that was a little scary. Haha! Oh, another thing.  During the evening classes we had a substitute, for reasons explained later in this email.  Anyways, it was funny because he asked me if I was from Taiwan. I said no, but my mom is from Taiwan.  He then asked me if I was one of the accelerated Missionaries, and I had to say no.  He told me that my Chinese was very good and pretty much like a Taiwan person's.  I laughed.  I don't think I'm anywhere close to sounding like a real Taiwan person... I'm working on it though!  Because when I get to Taiwan, I want to be as fluent as possible!

Saturday:

Saturday was great.  We got to teach in TRC (an acronym for something I've forgotten...) Anyways, we first taught a Lee Jie Mei.  We taught her how to receive revelation at church.  For those of you who are curious this is our advice.  Go to church with a question or an issue you would like to ask the Lord about.  Then, go to church with a willingness to learn and with a reverent attitude.  Listen to what the Holy Ghost brings to your attention and to your heart.  Anyways, we then committed her to bear her testimony at church.  I really hope she did, because I told her if she would, I would.... And I did.  Anyways, second we talked to two girls, ages about 10 and 7, and their father.  The girls are learning Chinese in a immersion program for school. The dad learned his Chinese through listening to CDs.  All of their Chinese was VERY good.  It was way cool to see! Especially the father, who listens to everything in Chinese- even Harry Potter podcasts!  It was also funny because the dad, when I introduced myself, said that he recognized me from the TV and from newspaper articles.  I'm famous! Haha! Just kidding.  It's kind of funny, because I've kind of forgotten about the interviews I did, since at the MTC we didn't really get to see any of it.  The only thing I can see is the article on LDS news.  Anyways, we committed the girls and their father to pray in Chinese, which I taught them how to do.  It's so cool to pray in a different language.  And I think it really helps you learn the language. :) We also got our teacher Brother Nightingale back. He got married and was on a 2 week long honeymoon (Original spelling was hunny moon). Is that how you spell it? Anyways, since he's been gone we've had a total of 18 substitutes, which has probably effected our learning negatively... but that's okay. We have our teacher back and we are happy. He looks very happy as well. We were teaching him as our investigator, and he was willing to accept everything we threw at him. We've committed him to baptism and he seemed happy with that idea. :) Haha!

Sunday

Sister Peng's testimony in Chinese
Well.  I bore my testimony in Chinese in front of our branch!  That was nerve-racking! But I did it!  It was a way cool experience!  I need to get more comfortable bearing my testimony in Chinese though if I'm going to be an effective missionary.  Oh, and it was also fast Sunday, which always gives you a spiritual high.  Though, it was a bit distracting since my stomach was growling. Haha!  We also went to the temple to just walk around.  It was such nice weather.  Oh, and Aunt Violet, it's the Provo temple... not the Saint George temple....

Today was good.  I'm just writing letters and such.  Not sure where the time is going since it is flying by!  Anyways, I should probably go, since my time is almost up.  Love you all!  Hope you all are having a FANTASTIC week! See you all next week :)

Love,

Sister Peng

One Month Down!

Dear Mom and Everyone else,
I bring you peace.

Da Jia Hao!!!!  Wow, another week has past! I can't believe it!  Every day seems to drag out, except Sundays and Mondays, and the weeks are still flying by!  What I can't believe is that we are now in July!  I've been at the MTC for a MONTH! And I have just one more to go!!!  I am getting super excited to go to Taiwan.  Sometimes I wish that they would just let me go already... But I know that I could do with some more training... But I also know that once I get to Taiwan, it'll be easier to learn Chinese, since I'll be immersed in it!  I am super excited to leave to Taiwan because then I'll get to eat Chinese food again.  I really miss my Mom's cooking... And my grandma's cooking... and even my own cooking! Haha!  The food here is okay, just not the best nor the healthiest.  My favorite part, unfortunately is the desserts... but I try and limit myself... Haha! So far I'm doing well though, I haven't gained any weight! That's always a plus! Haha! :)
Anyways, once again, I'm going to organize my email by days, since it makes it easier for me to make sure I catch all of the highlights. :)

Last Monday:
I love all P-days.  But this P-day, I got a yummy package from my mum which contained pineapple bread, peaches, cherries, and coconut bread.  There was also some belts, but that was a necessity and can not be eaten...  But I am still thankful for them!  I also got some notes in the box, from my mom and my cousin Kaitlyn.  I love them sooo much!  My mom and grandparents were actually in California this past week, and I really wished I could have been with them... Especially since it was for my cousin's baptism and it was during my Mom's birthday... Sigh... Of course, there are sacrifices that you must make as a missionary, and I know it'll all be worth it once I get back. :)

Tuesday:
Well, most of my highlights for Tuesdays will be about devotionals.  I love devotionals!  This one was by Janice Kapp Perry, who is very famous in the LDS music world.  Anyways, her and her husband are sooo cute!  I want a relationship like theirs soo bad once I get married (which won't be for a while... haha! )  But they are soo funny together.  Of course, any relationship that starts out with the first line of: Those lips look like they could be doing something more important than playing a clarinet" is bound to be an awesome one!  When Sister Perry was telling us that story, as soon as that line was out of her mouth, her husband came over and kissed her in front of all the missionaries!  He then promptly threw his fist in the air.  You can tell they love each other soo much!

Wednesday:
I love Weds!  We get new missionaries!  This past week, we got about 50 new Mandarin speaking missionaries!  And guess what! I know two of them!  One is Sister Maddie Taylor, that I went to Jr High with.  She's going to Australia!  The second is Sister Ellie Garlitz, who was one of my best friends in 6th grade!  She's going to Hong Kong!  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her! Small world! :)

Thursday:
Thursdays aren't normally my favorite day.  But I loved this Thursday for the fact that we got our Cafeteria back (it was taken over by the new mission presidents this past week).  I ate a bagel for breakfast.  Had curly fries and a burger for lunch.  And for my dessert for dinner( which was a bowl of minestrone soup) I had a rice crispy!  I love curly fries and rice crispies! They are my favorites... Haha! I have many favorites, but those are my MTC favorites.  The MTC also has really good Better Than Anything cake... but it's not very healthy for you... :(  And gross fact, we found a  hair in one slice of it... so that kind of made me want to take a break from eating that cake... I'll stick with my rice crispies... :)

Friday:
The gigantic apple that Sister Peng got from her Aunt Evie.

Well... This morning started out with a fire alarm.  Don't worry, there was no fire!  Just a bunch of garbage that was placed in front of one of the manual triggers for the alarm.  A custodian was piling the garbage into a cart thing, and when she pushed down on the garbage, it pushed down on the alarm.  I was brushing my teeth when it happened.  So I had to hurry and rinse my mouth, find my companion and go outside.  It was not very fun, because I hadn't put in my contacts yet... So I couldn't really see anything.  Ah well! At least it wasn't something serious. :)  And it gave me a good story to write in my email. Actually, it's not that great of a story.  It would be better if I had more time to write about it... and really, it would be better if it was a more exciting event... but you use what you have. :)

Saturday:
This Saturday, we got to teach in the TRC.  Which means we got to teach real people (most of which are members).  We had the opportunity to teach the cutest couple who actually both served in my mission! They didn't meet in Taiwan, but they met at a mission reunion.  They were super nice, and we definitely had the spirit in the room when we were teaching and talking. :)
Saturday was also our One month Mark!  I wanted to do something exciting... but I forgot... :(  Oh well!  I'll do something exciting for now on for every month anniversary.  I think next month, I'll get on a plane and fly to Taiwan! Hahaha! :)

Sunday:
I love Sundays, did I ever mention that before? Probably!  Haha, I just really love Sundays!  Appreciate your Sundays!  It's a day that should be for rest, but also for remembering the Lord.  Of course, every day as a missionary is dedicated to serving the Lord, but on Sundays, you are less busy so you can really FOCUS on the Lord.  Anyways, we had a great relief society where Sherie Dew, who is apparently well known... talked to us about becoming smarter spiritually.  By this she meant to: Remember who you are: A child of God.  Learn what the Savior Jesus Christ did for you through his Atonement and his gospel.  Learn how to receive personal revelation through the spirit.  And Learn how God's power can help you.  During Our evening devotional, the speaker, I forgot his name.... But he's going to be the MTC president for Mexico, I believe, also gave a very good talk.  He told us that we are the only ones who can determine the out come of our missions.  Only we can decide if our mission is going to be a success or not.  Only we can decide if we are going to make everyday a good day.  Nothing else can control us.  Not the people.  Not the places.  And not the WEATHER.  Weather really stood out to me, since I am such a wimp when it gets really hot... I don't like the heat... But it's okay, I'll get used to it.  Actually, I am really surprised that I am doing well so far in the heat right now.  I've heard that we are in record temperatures!  But so far, I actually think it feels good! but that's probably because our class room is FREEZING! At least where us Sisters sit.... Apparently the Elders are all very hot.... :P

This Monday has been pretty good so far. The temple is closed, so we had to find other things to do with our time.  I've just been learning to write my testimony using characters... my right hand is dead! haha!  And I know the characters aren't the best... but I've been trying! Haha! I'll attach a picture of what I have so far... There are two characters missing because I couldn't figure out how to write them.. the dictionary I was looking at is very small, and I can't really see the lines clearly.... Anyways....

Since I've been at the MTC for a Month I'll write a list of changes I've seen in myself:
1.  I don't mind the heat as much... at least not lately.  It's a bit weird! I miss the cold though...
2. My Chinese is hopefully better.  I can now share my testimony and pray and teach lessons!  (Oh, by the way, I've given my first few practice baptismal invites already! Haha! Oh and I can recite the missionary purpose and Joseph Smith's first vision in Chinese. :)
3. Jeans feel weird... I'm not used to pants anymore....
4.  I have a greater appreciation for mail and emails! Haha! :)  So please, send them my way! Preferably letters and maybe packages! Haha! I'm not begging..,. ;P  (PLEASE WRITE HER IF YOU HAVE ANY TIME...SHE WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL)

Anyways! I've got to go! Almost out of time! Love you all! Wo Ai Nimen!!!
Zai Jian!
Perhaps this will help with his Chinese pronunciation?

The Missionary Presidents building take over

Dear Mom and Everyone else!
The sisters of Unit 152
Nimen hao!  The MTC is good.  Though, everyone seems to be getting sick.  And it's not even just a cold... There seems to be an intestinal flu that has been going around.  It lasts for about a day or two, and people tend to throw up all night.  Don't worry, I haven't gotten it yet.  And none of the other sisters in my district have gotten it either.  But so far, I think the majority of the Elders have had it... No bueno... or as I should say, bu hao!  We've just been washing our hands a lot.  And we've been trying to stay away from sketchy food.

Happy Birthday Mom!! I love you so much!  You are the best mom in the world!  I hope that you had a good birthday, and that you had a good time in California.  I wish for nothing more than to be with you... but I guess that will have to wait for another 18 months. :(  But ah well, when I get back, we can spend a lot of time together! Love you!

Anyways, I'll go by days of the week like I did last time, since it makes it a bit more organized.

Tuesday:  Well, I was eating my breakfast in the cafeteria when guess who tapped me on the shoulder!  Sister Chelsea Newman!  She just came in the last week apparently.  And I think she is doing all right so far.  I've only seen her once here or there.  But it was nice seeing her.  I keep seeing people from USU as well.  It's like being back at school! Hahaha! Especially with being in classes all day long... Seriously, like all day long...  Anyways, I do like Tuesdays though, since we get to have devotionals.  This week, it was Robert C Gay, who did an amazing job!  I forgot my note book, otherwise I would write more on him.  But I love Tuesday Devotionals!  We still get to go to the Marriott center, which is fun.  And It's been fun singing in the choir for the Devotionals.  Though, we often have to eat dinner early in order to get to practice on time.  The other sisters are considering not doing choir anymore, which makes me sad... because I like choir...

Wed-thurs:  Well... These are a  couple of my not so favorite days, since they always end up being long.  It feels like we are in class all day.  And we also have classes back to back, with only a meal in between....  But, what can you do?  We learn a lot... Though, I still need to work on my SYL- speak your language.  The problem is, if I SYL then no one can understand me except for the teachers... which gets really boring... So most of the time, I forget, or I just speak first in Chinese and then in English.

Friday:  This is the day that the Mission Presidents took over building 1M.  It's cool to have the mission presidents, but it's not fun eating sack meals or eating in the gym.  The food is often cold by time we eat it, and there are not as many choices as normal.  But that's okay.  One thing that makes me sad is that they don't have any skim or 1% milk.  They only have 2%, chocolate milk 2% or juice or pop or water... So, I've been drinking a lot of water.  Which is a good habit to start. :)
Oh, we also extended our first baptismal invitation to an "investigator".  We were challenged to do so by another teacher, but we only had like 5 minutes to prepare... I did my best.  Our investigator said that she would think about it.  She's not a continuing investigator (an investigator you teach over a period of a couple of weeks) but it was nice to get the practice in.  I feel like we could have done a better job, but we didn't have time to learn how to properly extend a baptismal invite in Mandarin...

Saturday:  This Saturday was pretty good.  Our teacher overslept, so we didn't get to teach our investigator... Which was okay, since our syllabus didn't say that we were teaching on Saturday.  We also couldn't go and teach TRC because the schedule has been messed up with the Mission Presidents being around.  But I was fine with that, since we weren't really prepared... We just keep teaching lessons after lessons, that we don't have time to get ready for them anymore... Which is okay for me, but Sister Eliason needs a bit more time to prepare...  I just tend to wing the lessons... But we need to work on a bit more companionship teaching unity... which is hard, since Sister Eliason still feels that it's heard to express herself in Mandarin.

Singing in the missionary Choir
Sunday:  Well, this was the big day of the World Wide Missionary training broadcast.  It was a very cool experience to sing in it.  We saw 11 of the 12 Apostles, which was way awesome! They are all so sweet!  They all gave us thumbs up and waved at us.  Of course we waved back!  It was amazing to feel the spirit that just radiated from them!  And I was happy to have been a part of the broadcast.  They stressed the importance of members in missionary work.  I agree, without members, it would be very hard for us missionaries to do our job.  Did you know that one of the responsibilities of all members of the church is to bring others unto Christ so they can feel his love and partake of his blessings?  But most importantly, it is important to show your love for everyone you meet, members and non members alike.
Sorry mom, there was no up close shots of me.  But there is a far away one.  I took a picture of the recording of the broadcast on the computer screen... Not the best quality but, it was the best I could do.

Today has been pretty good.  We went to the temple, which is always a great experience.  I'll be sad when they close it for cleaning.  Other than that, we haven't done much... I'll just go and do laundry later, and then prepare my lesson that I have tonight....  I really want to take a nap though... I'm tired! Hahaha!

Thanks everyone who sent letters and Dear Elders.  I love getting mail! *hint hint*  I'll respond when I have time, but apparently, we are only supposed to send mail on Mondays... I've been bad at that so far... Whoops!

We like to pretend we are witches when we clean  ;)
Oh! And Ev, Thanks for the Package! It was FANTASTIC! I love the peach!  And the apple made everyone laugh!  And I loved the lychee!  I tried to share some, but people seemed kind of afraid of them.  Just wait until we get to Taiwan!!!! :D

Anyways, Love you all!  Talk to you all next week!!  Hope you all have a great day!
Love,
Sister Peng

Week #3 The MTC experience continued....

Week #3:  Nicholle is still doing well!  She would love letters if you have the time to write!

This is my quail friend, Cornelius.  He comes and visits my study area at around 3pm every day... He's a bit annoying, but I love him all the same. :)
Dear Mom and Everyone else,
Ni hao!  How is everyone?  This week has been good, though I still can't believe we still have about 6-7 weeks left... that feels like an eternity!  We haven't even gotten 1/3 of the way through yet.  But it's all good.  We are learning a lot, and it's fun being here.  Though sometimes, all I want to do is sleep!  We go to bed pretty much on time, and wake up and we are still exhasted.  Ah well. There isn't much you can do.  Except we are thinking of scheduling a nap time. ;P

My companion has been sick this week, so that hasn't been fun.  We've missed a lot of class time because of that.  I feel okay with missing language class times, since most of it is pretty easy considering that I've learned it all before.  I don't like missing time when they are explaining missionary stuff though... I keep feeling like we are missing out on things.  I hope she feels better soon.  I don't think I'll catch what she has, but I've been washing my hands like crazy to make sure I don't.

So, I think in order to get things organized, I'll write the highlights of each day.
Tuesday:  Well, I love Tuesday evenings, since we get the devotionals.  But this past Tuesday was special.  We got to go to the Marriot center, which is HUGE!  But since my companion and I were getting interviewed by the media, we got a ride in a car.  On our ride, we had to stop by Wyview, the west campus MTC, to pick up the Elders that were also getting interviewed.  It was so weird to be out in the "normal" world.  :)  I'm a bit jealous of the people in Wyview, they get TVs and eat at local resturants on p days... Ah well. :)  It's nice being at main campus, even though it's getting a bit cramped...  The speaker at the devotional was way good, to top it all off.  All of the devotionals are a big spiritual boost.  Love them!  (http://www.ksl.com/?sid=25561483&nid=148&title=sea-of-missionaries-spreads-from-mtc-to-byu-in-evening-march&fm=home_page&s_cid=featured-3)  (http://www.deseretnews.com/article/865581535/MTC-overflows-with-LDS-missionaries-moves-devotionals-to-Marriott-Center.html?pg=all)

Sister Peng & Sister Eliason had reserved seating for the devotional (okay, I couldn't get the picture to turn around).

Wed:  Well... On Wednesday, we didn't go to classes, because Sis Eliason slept all day... It was nice and relaxing for me, but I wanted to be in classes...  We also saw the new missionaries come in.  It's funny, because the first couple of days, you can tell who is new, even without the orange sticker.  They just look lost, shocked, and some of the Sisters don't dress properly.

Thurs:  Well... Nothing exciting happens on Thursday, to be honest... It's just another day of class... Ah well, we learn a lot!
Friday:  Nothing really on Fridays either... Being a missionary is the only time where Fridays and Saturdays don't really matter...  There is no excitment for the weekend.  Enjoy your weekends!

Saturday:  We got to go to the TRC for the first time.  It's when you give lessons to volunteers who are members.... It was the worst time we had teaching yet, just because we couldn't figure out what to teach our investigator, Brother Tsai.  He was a return missionary, and I think he ended up teaching us more than we taught him.  It was a good experience though.

Sunday:  I love Sundays!  We watched Music and the Spoken word and then we sat through Relief society.  The speaker was Neill F Marriott, who is the 2nd Councilor of the General Young Womens.  She gave an excellent talk, which included her own conversion story.  She really emphasized serving the Lord with all of our hearts, might, mind and strength.  For our Sunday night devotional, it was broadcasted from the West Campus.  Stephan B Allen spoke, and he showed a lot of Old Mormon Ads.  They are all cheesy, but they all have good messeges. :)  Then, for our movie, we watched the Testaments.  That movie always makes me cry!

Sister Peng and her district
And today is Monday.  So far so great! We went to the temple eariler, and did a session.  I love going to the temple! We also finally got a picture of our whole district together!  I'll post that with this email.  We are now just writing letters and such... P.S. if anyone wants mail from me, they'll have to send things to me first.  Otherwise, I won't know your address... :P  Think of it as a trade. :)

Hmm.... Anyways... I would share a spiritual thought or scripture... but I forgot my scriptures...  Hmm...  Here's a mormon ad tag line that is great: "It's not who you aren't.  It's Who you are.  And being yourself is being great."  And here's another.  "It's often life's small moments that make the best memories.  Don't let their magic pass you by"

Just want all of you to know that I'm loving the MTC, and that I miss you all!  Be fantastic!
Love,
Nicholle (Sister Peng)
Oh! P.S.  Happy Father's day Mom, you are both parents to me!  And happy father's day to Grandpa! And happy Father's day to everyone who is a dad... :)

Pardon my typing... I don't like these computers....
Oh! On Sunday, we learned that our branch is getting divided into 2, to make room for the new incoming missionaries... So the branch I'm in is basically the old German branch...  We are just replacing them.  Our branch presidency speaks German.... So, they won't be able to understand any of the talks that us missionaries will give. :P
